You can delete your Masaruk account at any time from inside the app or the website. This page explains the steps, what we delete, what we are required to keep, and how to reach us if you can no longer sign in.
How to delete your account in the app
- Sign in to the Masaruk app (Android or iOS) or to masaruk.com.
- Open My Account, then Settings.
- Scroll to Delete your account permanently and tap Confirm deletion.
- Choose how to receive the verification code (email, SMS or WhatsApp) and enter the code.
- Your account is scheduled for deletion. You can cancel the request by signing in again within 30 days.
30-day grace period
After you confirm, your account stays recoverable for 30 days. Signing in during that period cancels the deletion. When the period ends, deletion runs automatically and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, nationality and profile photo.
- Saved travellers and their identity details.
- Favourites, notification preferences and device tokens used for push notifications.
- Sign-in credentials and active sessions on all devices.
What we keep, and why
Saudi commercial, tax and anti-money-laundering rules require us to keep financial records for a limited period. These records are kept in a form that is no longer linked to your identity.
- Booking and payment records (invoices, refunds, wallet transactions) for up to 10 years, as required by Saudi tax and commercial law.
- Records needed to resolve an open dispute, chargeback or legal claim until it is closed.
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.
Retention period
Personal data is removed within 30 days of the end of the grace period. Legally required records are deleted or fully anonymised when their statutory retention period expires.
If you cannot sign in
If you no longer have access to your account, your phone number or your email, send a deletion request from the Contact page or by email. Include the phone number or email you registered with so that we can verify the request. We confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification.
